My wife jumped up too. I went to get dressed, but couldn’t find my jeans. ​They had been on the chair in the corner, but not now. My shirt was there, but no jeans. My wife was missing her handbag too. Now I was really feeling sick. My wife was panicking and crying. I went out of the room onto the landing and my jeans are on the floor on the landing. My wife’s handbag was turned out on the floor at the bottom of the stairs.

We were burgled while we slept.​

Long story short, a burglar had broken into the house, had come into our room and taken my jeans and her handbag – all while we slept. Thankfully, we hadn’t heard a thing. Who know’s what would have happened if one of us had wakened…

We’re not unique or special. This happens to several people every night of the week. ​For us, having the car stolen was bad enough. It caused immediate inconvenience – no car – but it also caused weeks and weeks of hassle. But it was the fact that someone would actually come into the room while we slept – that’s what really shook us up. Neither of us slept properly for weeks afterward – even when we were back in our own home.

No chance. What they decide it is worth, will always be much lower than what the true value is – and much lower than what it is worth to you. Much lower. You will be out of pocket in more way than one.
